Diadié Dembélé

Diadié DEMBÉLÉ was born in 1996 in Mali, in the Kayes region. He began writing during his teenage years. He discovered poetry through "Coups de pilon" by the Senegalese poet David Mandessy Diop. His first book is a collection of texts blending poetry and tales, published by L'Harmattan in 2019. His first novel, published in January 2022 by Jean-Claude Lattès, received the Vocation Literary Award the same year. In January 2024, his second novel "Deux grands hommes et demi" was also published by Jean-Claude Lattès. It is shortlisted for the 2024 Grand Prix for Fiction by the Society of French Authors (SDGL).
