Caelainn Barr

Caelainn Barr is a writer, journalist, and educator from Ireland. She is currently a student in the Literary Nonfiction program at the University of Iowa. She has worked as a journalist for over a decade, writing for the Bureau of Investigative Journalism, the Irish Times, Bloomberg, the Wall Street Journal, and the Guardian, where she also worked as an editor. Barr was awarded the Nieman Fellowship at Harvard University in 2022 and earned her Master's in Journalism from Columbia University in New York.

Connie Chen & Aaron Pang

Connie Chen writes and unwrites the ways lupus has written her. Collaborating with nonconforming bodies in literature, she engages the intersections of psychoanalysis, queer and feminist theory, disability studies, Christian theology, and critical theory. Connie is a MFA candidate at the University of Iowa’s Nonfiction Writing Program, where she is an Iowa Arts Fellow. Aaron writes about disability, Chinese-America, food, and his mom. Aaron’s writing has appeared on The Moth Radio Hour, Proof by America’s Test Kitchen, Essay Daily, among others. He is a MFA candidate at the University of Iowa’s Nonfiction Writing Program.
