Luiza Fazio

Luíza Fazio is a Brazilian screenwriter and author, recognized in the 2022 Forbes 30 Under 30 list, which highlights Brazil’s most promising young talents. She has worked on Sintonia and Invisible City (Netflix), the latter created by Carlos Saldanha and a hit in over 40 countries. More recently, she wrote the teen series Back to 15 (Netflix). In 2022, she was selected by the U.S. Embassy to join the prestigious International Writing Program at the University of Iowa. She is currently developing her first project as a director, exploring queer memories within her family.

TJ Benson

TJ Benson is a writer and visual artist from Nigeria whose collection of short stories ‘We Won’t Fade into Darkness’ was published in 2018. 'The Madhouse' is his first novel and his 3rd book ‘People Live Here’ has been published in 2022. He lives in an apartment full of plants and is in danger of becoming a cat person.

Floriane Gitenay pursued studies in creative writing in Le Havre and earned a master's degree in cultural journalism from the University of Paris Nanterre. She navigates between literature and journalism, occasionally blending the two. For Frictions, she conceptualizes and produces podcasts.

Réjane Éreau is a journalist, author and documentary filmmaker. For the past twenty years, she has been exploring the themes of travel, peoples, cultures, identity, self-knowledge, traditional knowledge and spirituality, in France and abroad. She has devoted three books to the adventure of motherhood.

Ysiaka Anam

Ysiaka Anam is an author, and lives in the South-West of France. A French woman of African descent, questions of storytelling constitute a guiding theme of her career, where literature intertwines with different practices (anthropology of space, ethno-psychoanalysis, sound experiments, etc.). Her first novel, Et ma langue se mit à danser (“And my tongue started to dance”), tackles questions of migration and family heritage from an intimate and collective angle.

Laura Taouchanov

Laura is a journalist, author, and filmmaker in the radio and podcasting industry. She believes that life sounds better through headphones, how about you? Born to an English mother and a Bulgarian father, she has always been interested in questions of belonging, community, and identity. Since graduating from the École Supérieure de Journalisme de Lille in 2019, she has joined several national radio stations (RMC, Europe 1, Radio Classique...) and continues to work regularly for the Transfert podcast (Slate audio). Living abroad in Dublin between 2021 and 2023, she also served as a correspondent for French-speaking radios for two years (Radio Suisse, RTBF, Radio Canada, Radio France, RFI...).
